Born and raised in Chicago, I attended the University of Illinois at Champaign, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. My professional training was at the University of Chicago School of Social Services & Administration.
I have almost three decades of individual, couples and group therapy experience at Jewish Family and Community Service, the Rader Institute (an in-patient eating disorder clinic) and in private practice. For many years I facilitated parent-child and postpartum depression groups at Blossom Birth Services.
Today I support expectant parents as a birth doula, where over the last 20 years I have been privileged to assist in over three hundred births, and see individuals and couples in private practice.
